Verse Of The Day: Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you are involved in various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But you must let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1 : 2 – 4
LISTEN: In writing to the Jews scattered around the world by persecution, Apostle James encouraged them to regard all their trials as occasion for joy. No doubt, we know that trials bring about worry and depression. It often causes us a loss of focus and the temptation to abandon our pursuits and faith. All things being equal, trial is not a situation anyone will wish for. Beloved, in time like this, what do we do? A time as it is today with frustration, confusion, misfortune, death and other heartbreaking situations all around the world? Should we live in fear, feel depressed and give up on life? Of course not! We should be strong in faith and be determined to overcome our challenges and trials no matter what. As children of God we should know that when the devil comes with trouble, he comes to attack our faith. Beloved, any trouble on your life is an attack on your faith. Therefore, you must determine to not allow your trouble consume your faith. (Job 1 : 6 – 11 ; 2 : 9 ; 19 : 25).
Beloved, no matter what happens, do not allow your trouble to drown your faith. (Acts 8 : 1 – 4). Do not allow what you are going through to stop your commitment and dedication to God. The trouble on your life must not stop your faith or hinder your progress. You must learn to trust God no matter what. Rather than staying depressed and worried, you should learn to not give up on life. Besides, do not neglect to do what God has called you to do just because you are experiencing some troubles; instead, no matter the challenge or trial, determine to fight the fight of faith. Your faith is the devil’s interest; he knows that if he can kill your faith he can cripple you. So do not give him such space. In a time like this, put your trust in God and sing praises to Him. As a Christian, remember that your faith is your life; it is the only access you have to God. (Hebrews 11 : 6). Therefore, guard it with all you have. God bless you.
