Verse Of The Day: As he was praying, the appearance of his face was transformed, and his clothes became very bright, a brilliant white. Luke 9 : 29
LISTEN: Prayer has been greatly neglected and undermined by a lot of people who profess their faith in Christ. They act as though they do not believe in the power of prayer. Prayer is as important as our faith. That is why, the message of prayer cannot be overemphasised. Those who pray, hardly complain about anything because they first of all talk to God about it, hence do not deem it wise to complain to man unnecessarily. Prayer occupies an important position in the Christian faith. It is a medium through which we commune with God. He who prays genuinely cannot be empty of God’s presence; but he who cannot pray have no business with God. Beloved, not to pray is to refuse to talk to God; and when you finds it difficult to present your request to God, you have chosen to be on your own. Jesus Christ was one with the Father as He went about doing the Father’s business on earth. He never neglected to pray, instead He prayed at all times and in all situations.
Truly, we cannot succeed as children of God without a fervent prayer life. There are demonic activities going on everywhere, and all manner of evil are being committed today around the world; as a result, fear has cast its spell on people. How can you cope with the problems in the world if you are disconnected from God? Do you know that prayer brings you closer to God and grows your faith? When you pray you will see the glory of God. Prayer changes things and triggers both the glory of God and divine intervention (Luke 9 : 29, 30 ; 2 2Kings 20 : 1 – 6 ; Acts 16 : 25 – 26). Beloved, when prayer is taken seriously God will Speak (Acts 13:2 , 3). Do not be too busy or too weak to pray. No matter how busy or weak you are, let it not affect your prayer life. Truly, the devil wishes that you are prayerless in nature, so that he could use you as a prey. But you must resist him with your faith. Beloved, pray and you will get answers to your prayers.
