Verse Of The Day: Above all, keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers a multitude of sins.- 1 Peter 4 : 8.

LISTEN: True love is sweet because it heals and blesses people. It is the cure for all manner of evil and selfish activities in the world. Love is the balm that is fit for calming the hurting and offended. It is the virtue required of us to still live as one even when those we love break our hearts. With love, no matter how offended or hurt you might be, you can still forgive for christ’ sake. Beloved, are you badly hurt by a friend, and so have sworn not to forgive him or her? Are you frustrated by your parents or family members, hence you have sworn never again to have anything to do with your family? Have you been wrongly punished, mistreated or rejected by your spouse? As a result, you have determine to avenge yourself? Have you been betrayed and emotionally wounded by someone you loved so much? As a result, you have vowed to get back at the offender? Besides, are your dreams aborted because those you relied upon abandoned you to your own fate, and today your life has been wrecked? Never mind! Just allow love to rule in your life.

Beloved, love heals all wounds, kills all pains and cover multitude of sins. Love is powerful, and more powerful than you think. The Bible says “Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1Cornthians 13 : 4 – 7). Beloved, when you are offended, remember that love heals, then try it. When someone hurts you badly, rather than respond with same evil, learn to listen to the healing voice of love. When you try love, you will not have any need for revenge because forgiveness would have swallowed up the desire for vengeance. Beloved, remember that love covers a multitude of sins. Therefore, embrace love.
