Verse Of The Day: Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering! Psalms 25 : 17

LISTEN: Are you troubled, afflicted, or tormented by circumstances of life? Are you experiencing trouble on every side? Are you scared of life because you believe that there is nothing to live for? Have you tried all alternatives and they have all failed you? Not to worry! There is one more source you should try by faith, and truly, that source never fails. Beloved, that source is God Almighty. He is a dependable God, with Him there is nothing like impossibility. (see Jeremiah 32 : 27 ; Luke 1 :37). No matter your situation, you can cry to Him for Mercy by faith. He is a merciful God who understands that no one is immune to trials, troubles, pains, or suffering. He knows that everyone at one point or the other will taste a dose of the ugly part of life. However, He promises to be with us in trouble. Unfortunately, when trouble comes, it does appear like it is not going to be over; as a result, we tend to panic and worry about the situation instead of trusting God. We are too quick to forget God when we go in search of alternative solutions to our problems. Distress should not push us away from God, instead, it should draw us more closer to Him.

Beloved, there is nothing impossible with God. He is a wonder-working God. His ears are itching to hear His people’s distress call. He is pleased when you call Him for help in your time of trouble. So never give up no matter what, instead, pray like David did in our verse of the day. David in the midst of his afflictions cried to God and said, ” Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering” (Psalms 25:17). He cried out to God because the case was more than he could handle. And because he cried to God in faith and expectation, God delivered him. His prayer was not abandoned, and therefore he joyfully said, ” Surely he rescue me from all troubles, and I triumph over my enemies.” (Psalms 54 : 7). Beloved, are you in some form of danger or distress? Like David, cry to the LORD today and He will hear your cry and deliver you.
