Verse Of The Day: For wisdom provides protection, just as money provides protection. But the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner. Ecclesiastics 7 : 12

LISTEN: Wisdom is the beauty of life; without it life is empty, frustrating and without direction. God’s word recognises this fact when it says, ” Wisdom is supreme – so acquire wisdom, and whatever you acquire, acquire understanding!”(Proverbs 4 : 7 NET). Sadly, many today are empty of wisdom. They have neglected knowledge, as a result, they have equally lost direction. Those who run their lives without wisdom turn their lives into a complete nightmare. Truly, life will be ruin when knowledge is ignored. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge, so where knowledge is ignored, wisdom is undermined; and where wisdom is undermined, the future has been compromised. Beloved, there is no future for anyone who chooses to be empty of wisdom. The beauty of life is in wisdom. Wisdom enables us to make right judgment and sound decisions. Wisdom guides our lives towards the right path, and enable us to fear and honour God. There is no real widom without the fear of God. The bible says, “The beginning of wisdom is to fear the LORD, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9 : 10). Anyone who fears the Lord has been endowed with the power of wisdom.

Wisdom is powerful and supreme, hence the Bible declares, “For wisdom provides protection, just as money provides protection. But the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner.”(Ecclesiastics 7 : 12). Beloved, wisdom is a defense, just as money is. Wisdom protects and preserves. It delivers from error, trouble, untimely death, etc. The power of wisdom is life – giving, especially when it comes from above. Wisdom from above is the wisdom of God and it gives life to its owner. The widom from above is devoid of evil, but rather serves the purpose of God. No one can claim to be truly wise if he or she has not attained God’s kind of wisdom. The bible says, ” Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness…Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic…But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.”(James 3 : 13 – 17). Beloved, it is obvious that we cannot do much without wisdom. Therefore, let us pursue wisdom and our lives will cease to be a nightmare.
