Verse Of The Day: Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. Psalms 23 : 4
LISTEN: Walking with God almighty makes you a courageous and fearless person. Fear is overcome when faith is enthroned and anchored on God. When we allow God to influence our Lives through His righteousness, He will impact us with bravery and strength. Righteousness is a trigger of boldness. (Proverbs 28 : 1b). The righteous are not afraid of any evil because they know that fear is Satan’s instrument of destruction. Satan uses fear to empty people of their strength and opportunity to excel. Beloved, we should not forget that we are not alone. Besides, we should remember that those who trust in the LORD cannot be abandoned, no matter the circumstance. As children of God, we should learn to fight our fears through faith in God. We should know that God is greater than what appears to be greater than us. The Bible clearly says, “You are from God…and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4 : 4).
Beloved, why are you afraid of satan and his evil manipulations? Why have you chosen to surrender to his intimidation? Where is your faith? Have you forgotten that God have not ceased to answer prayers? In our verse of the day, David was in similar trouble as you are today, but believed that he will surely obtain victory by the power of God. He (David) said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23 : 4). In spite of his situation, he chose to think and act differently. He truly admitted the fact that he was in real trouble which he expressed as “the shadow of death”, but believes that with God’s grace and help, the situation will be divinely manipulated in his favour. Beloved, like David, let us be courageous no matter what. Let us put our trust in God no matter our fears. David said, “In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.”(Psalms 56 3). Henceforth, determine to bury your fear and resurrect your faith.
