Verse Of The Day: You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29 : 13

LISTEN: God is all-knowing, as a result, the thoughts of our hearts are naked before Him. (Deuteronomy 29 : 29 ; Psalms 44 : 21). He sees through our hearts and is not ignorant of our intentions, ambitions and disposition. Besides, He is loving, caring, kind, generous and ever present to those who look for Him with the whole of their hearts. God is available when we are available. He is everywhere but not everyone can easily find Him. Our ability or inability to find God is in the way we search for Him. In our verse of the day the bible says, “You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29 : 13). The way to find and experience God is to search for Him with all your heart. Yes, anything short of that cannot work because God cannot do anything serious with an unserious-minded person. This is because an unserious-minded person is unstable in all his ways and cannot commit to his or her cause. Beloved, God cannot give us his hands until we have given Him our hearts.

Our ‘hearts’ as stated above represents our commitment to Him, faithfulness, loyalty, devotion and sincerity in our service to Him. On the other hand, His ‘hand’ represents His embrace, favour, love, blessing, care, protection, deliverance, salvation, intervention, etc. Beloved, to experience God, our hearts should be directed towards Him. Until that happens, we will find it difficult to discover Him. (Psalms 119 : 2). Do you know that God is closer to you than you think? That He is close to those who search for Him with the whole of their hearts? Beloved, when you give God your heart He will give you His hand. Beloved, how serious you are with God will determine how He will deal with you. A lot of us feel the absence of God around us because we are not conscious of Him. We have not searched for Him with the whole of our hearts, and therefore cannot encounter Him. God searches every heart and He knows those who are serious with Him. Beloved, if you must discover God, you must search for Him with the whole of your heart. Remember, when you give Him your heart He will give you His hands.

2. Do not be unserious-minded to spiritual matters, instead, be serious with God.
3. Determine to make yourself available to God and He will show Himself to you.
4. Learn to search for God with the whole of your heart no matter what.
