Verse Of The Day: Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer. Isaiah 12 : 2

LISTEN: God is the hope of the righteous in time of trouble. Beloved, God should also be your own hope. When our hope is in Him, fear will be conquered. God is the solution to our fears, troubles and miseries of life. He gives strength and protects those who trust in Him. No one can deliver like Him. Whosoever He sets free is free indeed (John 8 : 36). God is our defense. He is the one who rescues us from harm or danger. He is our rescuer, saviour and helper. We should learn to trust in Him. Beyond our physical protection, at the cross of calvary God through Christ rescued us from the hands of sin and Satan, and saved us from His eternal judgment. We have no reason today to fear, but have faith in Him. Beloved, through Him we are eternally secured and protected by His saving grace. Yes! True security, protection, deliverance and salvation is in Christ alone. Nothing is secured or protected if the Lord does not secure and protect it. Besides, you cannot be victorious in the battles of life without His help.

Learning to trust in the Lord will guarantee victory in “battles of life.” Beloved, we do not possess in ourselves the power to defeat Satan or ‘enemies’ without God. It does not matter the strength of one’s armory, battle skills, expertise and preparedness of one’s military personnel; only God can guarantee victory. The bible clearly says, ” A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the LORD.” (Proverbs 21 : 31). Beloved, the deliverance God secured for us through Christ is not just for our spiritual life alone, but also for our physical life too. He wants us to prevail over life’s challenges through His help. He wants us to trust in His strength not ours. So let us learn to trust in the living God. The Psalmist says, ” Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the LORD our God.” (Psalms 20 : 7). Hence, those who trust in the living God cannot be put to shame. Therefore, let us put our trust in the LORD by making Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
