Verse Of The Day: But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Obadiah 1 : 17

LISTEN: God had blessed us individually, and in most cases collectively, just for His own glory and honour (Genesis 12 : 1 – 3). His blessings can physically find expression in our lives when we submit to Him. God created us with things to enjoy as His children. He created us to enjoy freedom, wealth, peace, life, and many more of His blessings. He gave us our individual portions or possessions in the world. However, His blessing cannot find expression in our lives until we grow up in our believe system and especially, in our moral principles and obedience to Him. We are likely to remain in our pitiable conditions if we hesitate to surrender to God. Truly, we will hinder ourselves from God’s blessings and favour when we choose to remain immature and unwise like children (Galatians 4 : 1). God can choose to deny us His blessing when we willfully disobey Him. When we disobey Him, we have made the choice to limit and stagnate ourselves; and then remain strangers to our God-given possessions.

When the Israelites abandoned God almighty in favour of pagan gods, He also abandoned them and made them to be carried away to Babylon as captives. As a result, they forfeited their good land, the land of Canaan, and served instead as slaves in a strange land for seventy years because they chose to remain morally and spiritually immature. However, when they repented of their rebellion and cried to God, He assured them of His deliverance and prosperity. Beloved, God cannot change His nature of purity and holiness. He is a holy God who maintains holy standard. The Bible says,” But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” (Obadiah 1 : 17). Beloved, are you prepared to possess your God-given possessions? Are you ready to live in the realm God had originally made for you? Then live in obedience to God and maintain a good relationship with him, and certainly, He will bless you. So, do not slack, instead, go for your God-given possessions.
