Verse Of The Day: For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things. 2 Timothy 4 : 3

LISTEN: Looking at what is happening in the world today, one will not help but asked, Is God not enough for mankind? Is God not enough for us that we have chosen to have alternatives to His word, will and purposes for our lives? Why is it difficult for mankind to remain within what is allowed by God? Beloved, we are in a perilous time. (1 Timothy 4 : 1). A dangerous time: a time with the possibility that one could be hurt or killed, or that something unpleasant or bad might happen. A time that is likely to cause injury, pain, harm, or loss to people. A time that is difficult to deal with. A time full of heartbreaking news and situations. A time when many who believe in Christ are living with high level of recklessness and lukewarmness. A time when those who claim to serve God are the same who disobey Him. A time when people follow evil trends instead of biblical principles. Beloved, if you are not careful, you might end up a victim of the perilous time. (Luke 21 : 34 ; 22 : 40).

It is so sad that today in the church, many believers have lost sight of God’s purpose for the church. They have brought carnality into the church and accepted it as a standard for the body of Christ. Regrettably, carnality has replaced spirituality. People choose what they want to hear in church, and not what God wants them to hear. In church, they like to feel entertained, but not nurtured. They can enjoy song ministrations, but must find fault with the word of God. As a result, many church gatherings today serve as entertainment and amusement services? People visit church as a center of entertainment and amusement. It is very rare to see a congregation where people’s hearts are pricked and broken because of the convicting power of the word of God. Oh! The world today seems to be acting more spiritual than the church; because the church has forgotten her values and have taken the immoral standard of the world. So sad, the church is fast abandoning her values for that of the world. Beloved, how can we change the world for Christ if we reject sound doctrine? How can we serve God and tell Him to the world if He is not enough for us? Therefore, let us reject every alternative to God and embrace Him as our LORD.
