Verse Of The Day: And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Genesis 3:7

LISTEN: No one walks to the future with his or her ‘eyes’ closed. We walk to the future with opened ‘eyes.’ Blindness surely limits progress. Blindness will hinder speed and acceleration. I am not talking about physical blindness here, but spiritual blindness. That is, the inability to know or see the will of God for our lives. The lack of knowledge that causes destruction and death. (Hosea 4 : 6). The ignorance that makes sin a delight instead of a dislike. The willingness to follow the will of the devil instead of God’s. The kind of blindness that led Adam and Eve and the entire human race to doom and severance from God, tragedy, suffering and death. Beloved, open your eyes. Do not be deceived. The devil entices people just to destroy. The Bible says, ” The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.”(John 10 : 10a). The devil is the thief who comes to you with the promise of a better life while his plan is to deliver misery, shame and death to you. He has nothing good to offer to you, but death. When he entices you to commit sin, his plan for you is to die (Romans 6 : 23).

Before the (devil) deceived Eve and Adam, he made sin look pleasurable to them. The Bible says, ” When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.” (Genesis 3 : 7). So sad, what looks like a breakthrough to them suddenly became a breakdown. Our verse of the day says, ” And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.” Genesis 3:7 Beloved, disobedience to God has consequences. Like Adam and Eve, disobedience to God will expose you to shame, regrets, satanic attacks, misery, spiritual emptiness and alienation from God. Beloved, be vigilant and guard against disobedience to God and your life will not be a nightmare.
