Verse Of The Day: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. Acts 16 : 25 , 26

LISTEN: Praise and worship are powerful instruments of warfare. They open doors because God is glorified when men offer praise and worship to Him. Praise moves the hands of God. That is, God will manifest His glory where impactful praise and worship are offered. The wonders of praise and worship leaves the devil confused, frustrated and wondering. Even the power of hell cannot stop or resist the force of impactful praise and worship. Impactful praise and worship simply means, a praise and worship influencing strongly on worshippers. When we praise and worship God deeply in spite of challenges, troubles and trials, we will experience His glory. Beloved, we should worship God because worship and praise produce His presence. Impactful worship is not in the style, but the substance behind it.

In our verse of the day the Bible says, ” And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.” (Acts 16 : 25 , 26). Paul and Silas were arrested, beaten and thrown into prison for the sake of the gospel of Christ. But rather than weep, mourn and groan for pains inflicted on them, they prayed, praised and worshipped God instead. As a result, at midnight God miraculously intervened with an earthquake, shook the foundation of the building, broke its prison doors and loosed their chains and set them free. Truly, when men praise God in spite of troubles, divine intervention will occur. Beloved, how much do you worship God? Do you know that impactful praise and worship will trigger His presence? (see 2 Kings 3 : 14 ; Psalms 50 : 23). Henceforth, let us praise and worship God with all our hearts no matter what.
