Verse Of The Day: And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.  And he put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will: be you clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him. Luke 5 : 12 , 13

LISTEN: Are you rejected and downcast? Have you lost your freedom and right of association because of disease or some shameful situations in life? Are you heartbroken just because your colleagues, family members, friends, spouse, relatives have separated themselves from you? Are you rejected and discriminated against by the society because of your situation? Not to worry! God is there to help you. He is loving, caring and compassionate. Therefore, He will accept you, because He is God of the rejected. If God has not rejected you, humans’ rejection cannot mark you rejected. He loves you and wants to help. In our bible verse of the day, a man (leper) who was legally marked for separation and confinement by the law of Moses on leprosy, came to Jesus Christ begging to be cleansed. Truly as a leper, it was unlawful to be in the midst of those who are ceremonially clean.

However, he came to Jesus Christ not minding the consequences of his actions because he desperately wanted to be healed. Thankfully, Jesus Christ the compassionate Saviour healed him as requested. Beloved, there are few lessons to be learned from the lepers encounter with Jesus Christ. Firstly, breakthrough is possible for the determined (see Luke 5 : 12 ; Gen 32 : 25 – 28). This leper determined to break protocols just to have his healing. Many of us are yet far away from breakthrough because we lack the courage and ruggedness to overcome our challenges. We accepted the tag – “rejected,” pasted on our names by the society. Secondly, another lesson from this message is that the rejected must not reject himself (Luke 5 12, 13 ; Gen 40 : 6 , 7). Like the leper, when others reject you do not reject yourself. Thirdly, God cannot reject the rejected (Luke 5 : 13, Psa 27 : 10). Finally, God is the answer to all humans’ Problems (Luke 1 : 37). No matter the problem, always remember that God is the answer and therefore surrender to Him.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. When you do not know what else to do, trust God for directions and deliverance.
2. Do not give up on life, rather, pray, work and trust God for intervention.
3. Do not allow any opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ pass you by.
4. No matter the problems, always remember that God is the answer, therefore trust Him.

Daily Prayer: Everlasting Father, I thank you for a brand new day. Help me to be strong and courageous in the face of trouble; and to fight every spirit of rejection in my life, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task: Beloved, when others reject you do not reject yourself for God cannot reject the rejected who flee to Him for mercy and refuge.

Daily Reflection: Anyone can break through, and anyone can equally be far away from breakthrough because of lack of courage, doggedness and ruggedness to overcome challenges.

Daily Quote: If God has not rejected you, humans’ rejection cannot mark you rejected.

Today In History: November 16, 1945. Eighty-eight German scientists, holding Nazi secrets, arrive in the United States.

SAY THIS: Today, I confess with my mouth, that I am not rejected. Though men may reject me, but I declare as a child of God that I am, that I am not rejected. Henceforth, acceptance and favour shall follow me, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. May you not be rejected when it matters most. Though men may wish to reject you, but I prophesy over your life, you will not be rejected. May divine acceptance and favour follow you as long as you live, in Jesus’ name.
