Verse Of The Day: Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith sincere: 1 Timothy 1 : 5

LISTEN: Do you love God from your heart? Do you love others without hypocrisy and ulterior motives? Do you love from a sincere heart? Do you know that love will lose its value if it is faked by the giver or receiver? Truly, love should come from the heart, not just from the mouth. Love is meant to be put into action, not just in mere words.(1 John 3 : 18). Beloved, no one is fit to be called a child of God if he or she is empty of genuine love for God and others. Do you know that the gospel of Christ is a gospel of love? Do you also know that, until we express genuine love for God and others and genuine faith in Jesus Christ we have missed the sense of the gospel of Christ? Apostle Paul in our verse of the day admonished Timothy to love from a pure heart, have a good conscience, and profess a sincere faith in Christ.” (1 Timothy 1 : 5). He told Timothy that the end of the commandment and the gospel is to have genuine love for God and others. That is, to love from a pure heart without pretense and hypocrisy.

Beloved, this same message of love is Jesus Christ’s message to everyone concerning our relationship with God and man. The Bible says, “… You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22 : 37 – 40). As a follower, or intending follower of Christ, you should not love in hypocrisy. You should be genuine with your love and faith in Christ Jesus, and work with a good conscience towards God. No matter what, you must determine to express genuine love and faith in God through your life and learn to love unconditionally. Remember, love must come from your heart, not just from your mouth.
