Verse Of The Day: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 UKJV)
LISTEN: Fear came the moment sin entered the world and built a wall of separation between God and man in Eden. What used to be a cordial relationship suddenly turned to a strained relationship. The voice and presence of God that once triggered joy in the hearts of Adam and Eve suddenly created a fear because of sin. (Genesis 3 : 8 – 10 ). Fear is a universal problem, and it takes away our joy. But because God lives, you should not be afraid. You have Him on your side, so cheer up! We have a warming and comforting promise from God for our fears. The Bible says, “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 UKJV) Beloved, with God on your side, you do not need anything else. He is enough for all your journey in life.
Beloved, what exactly is your greatest fear? Is it your family problems? Is it academic issues? Is it sickness and disease? Marital crises? Failure? Rejection? Disappointing others? Career problem? Stagnation? Death? Etc. Do not be afraid. Satan uses all of these fears to rob you of joy. He knows what will make you joyful, so he creates a fear to resist it, or possibly stop you permanently. Satan uses different schemes to steal our joy. He knows that doing what is right will always bring you joy. So he makes you afraid of what other people will think if you do the right thing. He makes you worry more about your interest than pleasing God. Beloved, whatever your greatest fear is, turn it over to God. It is your responsibility to be joyful. Remember that God is on your side, and will not abandon you. Do His will and share His plan of salvation with others. No matter what, do not be afraid. Stay joyful! Truly, you can have joy in life, knowing that God is for you. So, cheer up and stop being afraid!
