Author: Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: For wisdom provides protection, just as money provides protection. But the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner. Ecclesiastics 7 : 12 .

LISTEN: Do you know that life generally will be empty and meaningless without sound wisdom? Do you also know that wisdom is an indispensable factor of success, excellence, protection and preservation? Beloved, you have nothing when you are bankrupt of true wisdom. The bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing… ” (Proverbs 4 : 7). This means that, no human achievements compares with wisdom. Sadly, many today are empty of wisdom, as a result, life has become a complete nightmare. Obviously, life will be ruin when knowledge is ignored. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge, so where knowledge is ignored, wisdom is undermined; and where wisdom is undermined, the future has been compromised. Beloved, there is no future for anyone who is empty of true wisdom, there is more hope for a fool than a man that lacks wisdom. Truly, the beauty of life is in wisdom. Wisdom enables us to make right judgment and decisions. Wisdom guides our lives towards the right path, and enables us to fear and honour God; for there is no real widom without the fear of God.

Wisdom without the fear of God is sensual, earthly and demonic. The bible says, “The beginning of wisdom is to fear the LORD, and acknowledging the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9 : 10). The fear of God is the real test of wisdom. Wisdom preserves the life of its owner. Wisdom protects and preserves. It delivers from error, troubles, death, etc. The power of wisdom from above is limitless. Wisdom from above is the wisdom of God that gives life to its owner. The widom from above is devoid of evil, but rather serves the purpose of God. He who claims to be wise must attain God’s kind of wisdom. The bible says, ” Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic…But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.”(James 3 : 13 – 17). Beloved, let us seek the wisdom of God and our lives will cease to be a nightmare.
