Verse Of The Day: You who have fear of the Lord, give him praise; all you seed of Jacob, give him glory; go in fear of him, all you seed of Israel. Psalms 22 : 23

LISTEN: Beloved, do you know that praise to God is an expression of our fear and honour to Him. And that no amount of praise is befitting to God if it is not mixed with honour and reverence to His name? God should be praised by those who love Him. He should be honoured by those governed by His love and fear. Truly, praise is the lifestyle of those who understand the importance of God. Our praise to God should be unconditional. Praise to God comes in different ways. We can praise Him in songs, dance, shout, rendering of testimonies, appreciating His works in our lives, living a praiseworthy and God-glorifying life, etc. God wants us (His children) to give praise to Him. He wants those who are faithful to Him to offer a worthy praise to Him. But why should we praise Him? Beloved, there are countless reasons why we should praise God. We should praise Him because He is our life-giver, our provider, our protector, He is the sustainer of our faith, our victory in battle, our defender, our healer, our loving, forgiving and compassionate Saviour; He is the hope of salvation, He is the reason we can face and endure trials and persecutions. Besides, He is our encourager and strengthener when we are weak and afraid, etc.

God should be praised by His loyal servants. Beloved, are you loyal to God? Are you among those who fear Him? Our verse of the day says, ” You who have fear of the Lord, give him praise; all you seed of Jacob, give him glory; go in fear of him, all you seed of Israel.” (Psalms 22 : 23). This bible verse is not limiting the praise of God to the children of Israel alone, but to us, all seeds of Abraham by faith (Galatians 3 : 14 , 26). This means that we should praise Him at all times, for those who have no fear of God cannot praise Him. Their arrogance will not permit them to give a worthy praise to Him. Beloved, let us give praise to God. Praise to God is an expression of our love and loyalty to Him. Our praise to God is the recognition and appreciation of His benevolence to us. If we cannot praise Him, certainly we cannot love Him. Giving a heartfelt praise to God will inspire, encourage and motivate us to a heartwarming relationship with Him. Beloved, let us give a befitting praise to God no matter what.
