PEACE FROM GOD

Author: Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3 : 16

LISTEN: No one will know peace where God is absent. God’s peace and love to mankind is the reason for this season. With the presence of God in our midst, we can enjoy peace and love in a wicked world. (John 16 : 33). Truly, it is an act of foolishness and a waste of time and energy to look for peace outside of God. A life that is empty of God is empty of peace. The absence of God in our families, conversations, workplaces, communities, states, nations, etc., are the reasons for endless crisis and conflicts in the world today. Many communities, states and nations of the world had suffered countless losses from wars and crisis. Properties worth of billions of dollars are being lost as a result. Worst of all, human lives are wasted in countless numbers. Sadly, no one wants to take responsibility for his or her actions. People kill one another and destroy their sources of likelihood, making life miserable for everyone. We all seem to have forgotten that true peace comes from God alone, the Lord of peace. Thankfully, Jesus Christ, God’s emblem of peace is with us today.

Beloved, peace comes from God, not from your wealth, academic qualifications, fat bank account, prosperous business, or achievements. His peace is beyond understanding. True and lasting peace is God’s gift to those who acknowlege his sovereignty and connect with Him. When you disconnect with God you are disconnected from his peace. Beloved, are you in any form of crisis today? Has peace left your life, family, community, state or nation? Put your trust on the God of peace because peace belongs to Him. If His word abides in your heart, peace will not be missing in your life. Beloved, with God on your side you can have peace. But there is no peace for those who reject Him. Surely, a life without God is a life without peace; and a life without peace is a miserable life. Therefore, let us surrender our lives to Him and He will destroy every power fighting our peace. (Philippians 4 : 6 – 7 ; Romans 16 : 20).

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Surrender the crisis of your life to God and he will bless you with His peace.
2. Do not seek peace in your possessions, rather seek it in God.
3. Know that God is ready to bless you with peace if you are ready to submit to Him.
4. Always remember that you cannot experience lasting peace until you encounter God.

Daily Prayer: Everlasting Father, the God of peace and love, help me to experience peace in my life, family, career, business, etc, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task: Beloved, do not attempt to live your life without peace, for it will make life miserable. Besides, do not seek peace elsewhere but in God.

Daily Reflection: A life without God is a life without peace; and a life without peace is a miserable.

Daily Quote: Until you receive the peace of God you do not have peace.

Today In History: December, 22 1989. The Romanian government of Nicolae Ceausescu is overthrown, ending 42 years of communist rule.

SAY THIS: Today, I declare that I have peace with God, because I have His Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Henceforth, my life shall continue to experience the peace of God, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. Today, I prophesy to you, whatever that is designed to steal your peace of mind must fail; and any situation that has stolen your peace is hereby arrested, and your peace recovered, in Jesus’ name.
