ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

Verse Of The Day: He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.- 1 John 5 : 12

LISTEN: Jesus Christ is God’s means of eternal life to mankind. To have him is to have life; and to be empty of him is to be empty of life. His birth and death brought us into a relationship with God. What an experience! Christmas celebration is usually a wonderful time all over the world among Christians and many other people. The season is observed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Beloved, but should we not do more than just celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ? Should we not welcome Him individually into our lives and homes? Should we not make Him king over our lives? Should we not establish a lasting relationship with Him? Should we not make ‘Christmas’ a daily celebration of a personal relationship with Christ? I think that is the right thing to do. Jesus Christ is the way to the Father. Therefore, He is the way to life. Eternal life is in Him. Without Him life will be eternally miserable. (John 3: 36). Beloved, we should have a spiritual and experimental knowledge of Jesus Christ, have true faith in Him; allow Him to dwell in our hearts, and live in us all the days of our lives. (Galatians 2 : 20).

The knowledge we believers have in Christ leads to eternal life; we have it in faith and hope, because we chose to accept Him as Lord of our lives. This is not the case of the unbelievers; because they do not have him, therefore, they do not have eternal life. They have no knowledge of Christ, nor faith in Him, nor enjoyment of Him: therefore they do not have life. Beloved, he that does not have Jesus Christ is dead in sin, alienated from the life of God, has no title to eternal life, nor shall enjoy it, but shall die the second death. Thankfully, God has left us with a choice to make today – accept His Son Jesus Christ and be saved, or reject Him and be doomed forever. As you celebrate this season, determine to embrace Jesus Christ today and your life will be a testimony.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Determine to make your relationship with Jesus the foremost of your priorities.
2. Drop the attitude of not examining your life regularly, and begin to examine yourself today.
3. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, do not leave this season without doing it.
4. As you celebrate the birth of Christ this season, determine to establish your new birth in him too.

Daily Prayer: Blessed Father, thank you for your word today. I acknowledge that I have no life without your Son Jesus Christ. Therefore, I completely surrender to you today, save me from the hands of the devil, and receive me to yourself, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task: Beloved, do not allow anything to keep you from embracing Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. Instead, determine to walk with him all the days of your life.

Daily Reflection: You have not lived until you have live in Christ; and you cannot die again if you have ‘died to sin’ and alive in Christ.

Daily Quote: Jesus Christ is eternal life wrapped in mysteries and meant to be discovered only through divine wisdom.

Today In History: December 24, 1914. Over 577,000 Allied soldiers are to spend Christmas as prisoners in Germany.

SAY THIS: Today, I confess with my mouth, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the source of eternal life. Therefore, I will forever hold on to him no matter what, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. Today, I prophesy over your life, as you celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, your life will not remain the same, but changed from glory to glory, in Jesus’ name.
