A YEAR CROWNED WITH GOODNESS

Monday, January 1, 2018.

Author: Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: You crown the year with your goodness; and your paths drop fatness. Psalms 65 : 11

LISTEN: When you visualise the year (2018) before you, what do you see? What do you believe to see or achieve in this present year? Are you judging yourself by your failure, disappointment, rejection, and denial of the previous year? Or, seeing yourself different from what you suffered the year before? What you see is what you can get. (Jer 1 : 11 – 12). Besides, what you can visualise is what you can pursue. Until you see it in your mind through faith, you cannot grab it in reality. For me, I see a year crowned with the goodness of God. A year designed to make up for the years ‘the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, have eaten.’(Joel 2 : 26 ; Job 22 : 29). Friend, do not doubt the power of God. This year will be remarkable for the manifestation of God’s kindness and favour. He has crowned the year to work in your favour if only you can walk by faith and obedience to Him.

Beloved, there is a divine crown set on the head of the year for you. God has crowned the year before you with beauty and abundance, favour and blessings; but you need obedience and faithfulness to Him to be able to access it. If you follow the will of God, He will cause His rain of glory to fall gently on you. God is mighty and full of mighty works. Wherever He goes, marching through the earth, life, favour, fertility, beauty, abundance fall gently along His path. However, to receive His blessings you must walk the paths He walks, serve His purpose on the earth; obey, honour and worship Him. As you progress into the year, always give lively gratitude to God for every benefit received. Beloved, a world so full of God’s goodness should be vocal with His praise. We should adore His wonders; express our humble dependence on Him for provisions, and restfully trust Him for everything; as we readily serve Him and others with our individual grace.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Begin your year with faith for exploit, dedication and breakthrough.
2. Trust the LORD to lead you successfully through this year from start to finish.
3. Be prepared to serve God in any capacity He wants you to, by giving Him your best.
4. Faithfully obey God and you will receive His abundant blessings and protection.

Daily Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for another year. I am happy that I am alive. I rejoice in your mercy because the year is crowned with goodness. Help me to live in obedience to you this present year, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task: Beloved, learn to adore God’s wonders; express your humble dependence on Him for provisions, and restfully trust Him for everything.

Daily Reflection: What you can visualise, is what you can pursue. Until you see it in your mind through faith, you cannot grab it in reality.

Daily Quote: A world so full of God’s goodness should be vocal with His praise at all times.

Today In History: January 1, 1863. President Abraham Lincoln issues the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing the slaves in the Confederacy.

SAY THIS: Today, I confess with my mouth, that the year before me is divinely crowned with goodness. I will succeed, and help others to succeed. I am blessed, and I will bless others. Henceforth, I will live my life in the will of God, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. Today, I prophesy to you, may this year bring you goodness. May you succeed, and help others to succeed. May you be blessed beyond measure. Henceforth, may God help you to live your life in His will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

A STUNNING FACT: Do you know that ostrich’s eye is bigger than its brain?
