Verse Of The Day: Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice. Psalms 55 : 17
LISTEN: We are commanded to pray without ceasing. That is, we should pray in all situations. (1Thess 5 : 17). We should develop a heart of prayer. No one can pray to God and expect answers if there is no heart for prayer. Having a heart for prayer will cause us to pray passionately from our hearts; and a prayer from the heart will produce the desired result. Prayer is one of the ways we commune and spend time with God. Time spent with God is a worthwhile investment. Time with God can never be lost or wasted. Sadly, many people spend their lives daily without having quality time with God in prayer. They do not have time to commune with Him in prayer, personal bible study, meditation, etc. They have no regard for the will of God. They have little or no time for Him. They seemed to have forgotten that we are humans, and that we are nothing without God. Beloved, we should spend quality time with Him to be able to make the most of our lives. No matter our engagements, we must not fail to make out quality time for God.
Beloved, how much time do you have for prayer? How much time do you have for God? In our verse of the day, David declared his unquenchable passion and determination to pray at all times. He said, ” Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.” (Psalms 55 : 17). He was prepared to pray until God hears Him. Beloved, have you lost interest in prayer? Do you feel like not praying anymore because God seems to have abandoned you? Not to worry! Do not give up, just keep praying. Prayer is a time with God, and a time with God will shape your future, correct your inordinate behaviours, direct your steps, warn you against evil, give you access to God, give your life a meaning and save your soul. Just pray and keep praying.
