Verse Of The Day: Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Haggi 1 : 5
LISTEN: Beloved, do you take time to examine your life? Do you make regular check of your moral life? Do you evaluate your day to day activities and conduct to see how well or bad you have done? Why not watch yourself and consider your ways! God urged the Israelites to consider their ways just the same way He is urging us today. The phrase, “consider your ways” simply means to think carefully about what you are doing: to give thought to your ways. Beloved, how often do you examine your ways and life in general? Do you really watch what you do? Do you know that your actions can make or mar you? Do you also know that when you refuse to give thought to your ways you will certainly regret your decisions in the long run? My dear, are you really considering what you do with your life? Do you consider your actions before you carry them out? Do you ever think beyond your actions? Do you know that not to consider the aftermath of your actions is to head for disaster? Truly, those who act irrespective of the consequences of their actions are bound to suffer self-inflicted harm and misery.
Beloved, are you a person who does not consider his or her actions before carrying them out? You better watch it before it is too late. Always remember that your action is like a seed, whatever you sow you will reap now, or later (Galatians 6 : 7). God wants you to let your actions be uniformly and constantly good in spite of all temptations to the contrary. He wants you to do the right thing no matter the pressure to do otherwise. If you think and do the right thing, you can expect His blessing and good success in what you do. Beloved, consider your actions and guard against doing evil. Use God’s word as your mirror and you will not be deceived. (Psalms 119 11). Remember, your actions will affect your future. Never forget that your life today is the result of your decisions in the past, and your life tomorrow will equally be the result of your decisions today. Therefore, consider your ways and you would have saved yourself from troubles and miseries of life.
