Verse of the day: There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

Listen: Man is a product of the choices he makes. The word ‘choice’ simply means choosing between two or more possibilities, it entails making a decision to go for a particular option over other variable options. Hence, choice making is part of our everyday lives: we make a choice of what to eat, clothes to wear, where to go, what to do, etc. But the most important one is choosing between good and evil, what is right or wrong, wise or foolish. This is a battle that will persist as long as one lives; so it is imperative to apply utmost carefulness when deciding things, when making choices in order not to find oneself in an unpleasant place, as seen in today’s Bible verse in Proverbs 14:12. God has given us the freedom to choose our paths by ourselves and recommended we choose the right paths because He wants man to prosper and not suffer (Deut. 30:19) . Only problem is that man is not always submissive to God’s will and direction, which is often what leads to destruction.

What is ‘the’ wise choice you need to make? Accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life is: Jesus said, “I am ‘the’ way, ‘the’ truth and ‘the’ life” (John 14:6) ; what this means is that when you have Jesus he gives you direction, he helps you make the right choices and guarantees your safety. The world has been blinded by the devil through sin and its pleasures, drawing people far from God and towards damnation. Many people have made choices they later regretted: cheating, stealing, maiming, cultism, blackmail, debauchery, and all that is sin, may seem right or justifiable to you but they are not wise choices (Proverbs 14:12). Where ever in the world you are, shun living the way Satan wants you to live and start living the way God wants. Allow yourself to be guided by God’s word and you will see better days. Bury your will in God’s and he will establish you (Proverbs 16:9 ; Psa 119:11,105; Josh 1:8). Beloved, God’s way sometimes may not be pleasant to follow, but it is the best way. “Not All That Glitter Is Gold.” Choose wisely!
