Verse Of The Day: Therefore, whatever you want people to do for you, do the same for them, because this summarizes the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7 : 12 (ISV)

LISTEN: Beloved, the process of doing good should start with you. Do not wait to receive, rather, initiate the process by giving first what you expect from others. What you want to receive from others you should first do for them. The good you do for people will provoke good in them too. God wants us to treat others the way we will want them to treat us. He wants us to present before everyone what is honourable and acceptable. (2Corinthians 8 : 21); in other words, we should not do, or say to others what we know will hurt or harm them. Others should be treated with love, respect and dignity. Beloved, if you deserve good things, do you not think that others deserve that too? If you like to be respected, do you not think that others deserve some respect from you? If you like to be commended for a job well done, do you not think that others need to be commended for same reason? If you hate to be insulted, do you think that others enjoy been insulted? If you love to be promoted in your work place, why hinder the promotion of others? If you hate to be gossiped about, why gossip about others?

Beloved, life can only be sweet and pleasant when it is lived on the principles of God’s word. If we respect God’s word we cannot neglect to do what He directs us to do. His word is a guide to a holy living, fairness, justice, uprightness, harmony and cooperation among people. Truly, ‘when His word is the foundation on which our conduct is laid, then, misconduct and mistreatment of others cannot be part of our lives.’ Our God is a good God. He loves uprightness and fairness; as a result, when people are mistreated, oppressed, afflicted and unfairly treated, He is greatly offended. (Psalms 11 : 5 – 7). Beloved, how do you treat others? Do you treat them the same way you want others to treat you? If not, please think and retrace your steps; for we cannot run away from the consequences of our actions. Certainly, whatever anyone sows he or she will reap. (Galatians 6 : 7). Beware!
