Verse Of The Day: And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Mathew 20 : 27 – 28
LISTEN: Beloved, do you know you are created and designed for significance? (Psalms 139 : 14 ; Isaiah 8 : 18). And that you owe yourself a duty to provoke it in your life? Significance according to the dictionary, is “the quality of being important and of having notable worth or influence.” Nobody becomes important or notably influential by chance, but by conscious efforts spent on serving God and others. To experience significance in life, you must learn to serve with others and do good to other people.
Unfortunately, many think that significance is just a product of wealth, beauty, status, academic qualifications, etc. Beloved, significance comes from genuine service. Your value will appreciate when you start thinking about other people more than yourself as you give your life away. Friend, you cannot be selfish and important at the same time.
In our verse of the day, ” Jesus tells His disciples that the way to significance in life is to serve others just the same way He had serve them and the world. The Bible says, “And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Mathew 20 : 27 – 28) Truly, we all have received individual talents from God, and therefore should serve with what we have. (see 1 Peter 4 : 10). Whatever talents you have received from God are not for your benefit. He gave them to you for the benefit of the people around you. Beloved, when you use your gifts, talents and abilities to serve other people, you are indirectly serving God and increasing your significance. Therefore, look for ways and places such as (church, family, school, society, relationships, etc ) to serve today. Trust me, you will certainly attract influence.
