Verse Of The Day: Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6 : 9
LISTEN: Watch your desires, because we are often entrapped and ruin by our own desires. If your desires are good and godly you are sure to succeed, but if selfish and self – centered, watch it, before you ruin your precious life. No doubt, riches is everyone’s dream. Ask around and everyone will tell you they wish they had more money, and that includes you. Beloved, we must be diligent in our thoughts to avoid inordinate desires to be rich. Anyone who is desperate to be rich has opened himself up for Satan’s manipulations and disasters. Let us avoid greed, because it will leave us vulnerable to take risks that would lead to destruction all for the sake of being rich. Beloved, do you want to be rich? Do you wish to experience abundance? Then, determine to love God and seek out contentment in Him, and you will receive the blessings you seek.
Friend, your love for God positions you for His blessings. Do not spend your time longing to be rich, rather spend it longing to be godly, dedicated and committed to God. Jesus says, ” But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Mathew 6 : 33). It is not our personal struggles that brings riches, it is the grace of God. That is why God said to the children of Israel, ” Be careful not to say, “My own ability and skill have gotten me this wealth.” You must remember the LORD your God, for he is the one who gives ability to get wealth; if you do this he will confirm his covenant that he made by oath to your ancestors, even as he has to this day.” (Deuteronomy 8 : 17 – 18). Beloved, when we show commitment to doing the will of God, shun laziness and determine to work hard instead; and rely on God’s grace, His blessing will surely locate on us. So be wise and watch your desires!
