Verse Of Tbe Day: And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5 : 18

LISTEN: Do you at all reflect on how you came to Jesus Christ? The story behind your faith in Christ? Do you ever think of why God called us (Christians) out of the unbelieving world? (Titus 2 : 14). And why He wants us to follow the steps of Jesus Christ? Beloved, God never did anything without a purpose. In the same way, He did not call us for nothing, He called us for a good purpose. He called us to be saved, and in turn save others. When you think of how you become a christian, you will realise that God used someone or a group of people to bring you to Jesus Christ. (Romans 10 : 13 – 14). You might argue that you came to Christ by no one’s effort, but I am telling you that someone is responsible for your faith in Christ. The gospel of Christ was preached to you either directly or indirectly before you accepted Jesus as your Saviour. The preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ to bring hostile humans to a loving God is herein called, ” the ministry of reconciliation.”

We are reconciled to God because Christ brought to mankind the message of reconciliation. The word reconciliation simply means a change from enmity to friendship. It refers to a change wrought in the personal character of the sinner who ceases to be an enemy to God by wicked works, and yields up to him his full confidence and love. To be reconciled to God is to have a peaceful relationship with Him. Our Lord Jesus has done His own part in the gospel, and has committed to all Christians the message of reconciliation (i.e to tell people that they can have a peaceful relationship with God). Beloved, as a Christian, how well are you doing with the gospel? How committed are you to its spread? Do you know that God has given you the ministry of reconciliation? So what are you waiting for? Do you not know that many are dying daily and going to hell? Friend, let us not neglect our christian duties; because to neglect our responsibilities as Christians is to reject Jesus Christ as our supreme Master. So, pick up your bible and go in search of the unsaved. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not neglect your christian responsibility (preaching the gospel), rather, do it no matter what.
2. Do not forget that God saved us to save others, and healed us to heal others.
3. Be reconciled to God today and cease all forms of disobedience and rebellion to Him.
4. Stop the delay and pick up your bible and go in search of the unsaved.

Daily Prayer: Dear Lord, You love us so dearly and therefore died for us; and you want us to love others likewise by saving them from the grip of Satan. Therefore, help me to take the gospel to the unsaved, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task: Beloved, let us not neglect our christian duties; because to neglect our responsibilities as Christians is to reject Jesus Christ as our supreme Lord.

Daily Reflection: Do you ever think of why God called us (Christians) out of the unbelieving world? He wants us to enjoy the best of Him.

Daily Quote: He who Jesus saves, He saves to save others from influences of Satan and hell.

Today In History: February 4, 1795 France abolishes slavery in her territories and confers citizenship on the slaves.

Say This: Today, I confess that Jesus died to reconcile me to God; and as a Christian, He has committed the message of reconciliation to me. Therefore, I will delay no more, I will spread the gospel of Christ as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: You will make a difference. Today I prophesy to you, may God provoke love in your heart for the unsaved. Henceforth, may God enable you to preach the gospel of Christ, in Jesus’ name.
