Verse Of The Day: Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help. Proverbs 3 : 27

LISTEN: Everyone needs help to succeed. No matter your power, wealth or influence, you still need help. Although one person’s area of need may be different from the other person’s; yet, everyone needs help at one time or the other from others. However, the kind of help the bible is talking about here is the help that should be given to the helpless, the hopeless, the destitute, the victimised, the marginalised, the rejected, the abandoned, the homeless, the fatherless, the confused and frustrated; the brokenhearted, the afflicted and troubled; the list goes on and on. Beloved, there are many today in need of help. Perhaps God placed you in your position to help and restore hope and joy to the hopeless. Your life is designed to be a solution to someone else’s problems. Truly, you exist to put smile on someone else’s face through act of kindness and generosity. (Galatians 6 : 10). God knows our individual abilities. He wants us to use them for the wellbeing of others.

Beloved, what are you doing with your God-given blessings? Are you in power and seated in a place of authority? Are you highly placed in your workplace and manning affairs of others as the boss? Are you financially blessed and favoured? Are you greatly gifted in one way or another? God wants you to help others with it. Always use your position, material and financial blessings, etc to make life better, and not miserable for others. Our verse of the day says, ” Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help.” (Proverbs 3 : 27). Having the ability as recorded in the bible does not mean you have the choice to help or not to. But that you should unfailingly help with what you have (your position, talents, financial and material blessings, power, connections, etc). Esther was the Queen at the time her people were to be exterminated by Haman’s ploy. (Esther 3 : 1 – 15 ; 7: 1 – 10). But she persuasively used her position as the Queen and eventually saved her people. So let us use our various blessings and abilities to help others.
