Verse Of The Day: But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall come forth like gold. Job 23 : 10
LISTEN: We murmur and groan when we face trials and afflictions. We are quick to look for easy way out of our situations; but failed to realise that trials often bring the best in us. What is trial? Trial in this context is a test of faith, patience, or stamina through subjection to suffering or temptation. Truly, trial is no one’s wish. Nobody can claim to be comfortable with it. However, it is often the channel through which new and glorious things are born. As children of God, anytime we face trial, it is because God wants to bring the best in us. When God allows or causes pain to his beloved child, He wants something new and glorious to be born. Beloved, what is it that God wants to be born in your life? Is it your commitment and dedication to Him? Your uncommon breakthrough? Faith and courage? Blessing and favour? Etc. You cannot give birth to God’s purpose for your life until you cooperate with Him.
In the midst of terrible trials and afflictions Job said, ” But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I shall come forth like gold. (Job 23 : 10) Job was very patient and confident that God will vindicate Him. He knows that the trial of his faith will work out something better for Him. Like gold refined in furnace of fire, in the same way he will be made better by ‘furnace of affliction.’ Beloved, if God can try or allows you to be tried, it is because He wants to trust you. Yes! If you cannot be tried you cannot be trusted. Friend, what are you going through today? Are you worried about the trials confronting you? Are you sad because you think you do not deserve to suffer? Not to worry! God understands you perfectly. He has a bigger plan for you. So do not give up no matter the trial. After trial comes the blessing. (Job 42 : 12 – 17). Be wise!
