Verse Of The Day : The purpose in the heart of a man is like deep water, but a man of good sense will get it out. Proverbs 20 : 5

LISTEN : A woman returned home on a certain day and saw another woman leaning on her husband’s shoulder crying. She was displeased with the sight and full of anger, and therefore screamed at the woman, “So you came here to snatch my husband from me?” Immediately, her husband interrupted mildly, “Honey, it is not what you think!” But she would not listen, instead, she hit the woman and created a scene not knowing she is her sister in-law who she had never met since she got married to her husband. She was ashamed when her mother in-law came in with the news that the woman she had just hit is her sister in-law who just lost her husband. She (mother in-law) said to her, “Your husband her brother had been consoling her since she came till now, but she is still heartbroken.” At this point the woman could not face her husband and her assaulted sister in-law. (Proverbs 14 : 29 ; Eccles 7 : 9). Friend, I believe you may have heard someone used the phrase, “It is not what you think.” When a person, perhaps your spouse, friend, colleague, relative or anyone say, “It is not what you think,” he or she is simply saying, “You might misunderstand me if you refuse to calm down and listen to me; if you hear me out, your doubt and wrong opinion about me will vanish.” Sadly, a lot of people judge others by what they heard or perceived without verification. Like the woman in today’s devotional, they judge actions only and neglect motives behind the actions. Beloved, action may be wrong sometimes, but always try to know the motive behind the action. So be careful lest you wreck your life, home, relationship, marriage through unfounded allegations and wrong perceptions. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not draw hasty conclusions on any matter, because you may be wrong in the end.
2. Never consider actions only in any situation, but try to consider motives too.
3. Watch your reactions over issues lest you ruin your life, home or relationship.
4. Learn to control your temper and be in charge of yourself.

Today In History : March 2, 1956 France grants independence to Morocco.

Please Say This Prayer:

Almighty God, I thank you for this opportunity. I know I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive my sin and accept me as your own. Today, I acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour. The evil I used to do, I will do them no more. Henceforth, I offer myself as instrument of righteousness to you. Thank you because I am born again, in Jesus’ name, amen.
