Verse Of The Day :… ; I have come so that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. John 10 : 10

LISTEN : A very wealthy man was interviewed by a radio presenter, about what he desires most and wants to keep in life. He replied, “I don’t want to lose my wealth, I want to die as one of the very wealthiest people in history ; I want to enjoy real life as long as I live.” Immediately, the radio presenter asked, “Sir, what life are you talking about?” The wealthy man replied smilingly, “This life, I mean this life! This life is sweet when you have wealth my dear.” The presenter was saddened and sobered by the man’s understanding of real life and therefore asked, “What about abundant life?” Amazed by the question, the man was silent and sobered. After a couple of minutes, he asked, stammering and curiously; ” What is abundant life? And how can I find it.” The presenter smiled and said, “Sir, you are close to it. Abundant life is only in Christ Jesus. It is life beyond this physical life, it is abundance of grace from Christ, all spiritual blessings in him now, and all fulness of joy, glory, and happiness hereafter. He added, no matter what you have sir, if your hope is only in this life then your life is miserable with all your possessions. ” (1 Corinthians 15 : 19). From that time, the man began to see life from God’s viewpoint. Beloved, are you like the wealthy man in today’s illustration? Is your hope anchored on your possessions? Have you refused to consider life after here? Do you know you have no life without salvation? Do you know that not to be saved is to be lost forever? Thankfully, God’s desire for you is not to perish but to be saved. Therefore, no matter the size of your wealth, you can be wealthy and still godly. Henceforth, take your focus off your wealth and centre it on God and His kingdom. (Matthew 6 : 33). Be wise!
