Verse Of The Day : Blessed are they who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. Revelations 22 : 14
LISTEN : Right now, what are you preparing for? What is taking your time, resources and attention? Perhaps you are preparing for yourself an elaborate marriage ceremony, a quality education for yourself and your children; a wonderful business or career advancement, and exploit in different areas of your life. Truly, they are all amazing plans. But does your plan includes preparing for eternity? Are you really thinking beyond this present life? Do you know that not to think of eternity is to waste your life and time in this world? Do you also know that he or she who refuses to pursue his or her eternal destiny in this life will end up being eternally frustrated, rejected and condemned?
Conversely, the obedient, faithful, committed and dedicated will be given access to what was denied Adam and Eve, even the tree of life, the opportunity to live forever. This blessing comes with a price. Our verse of the day says, ” Blessed are they who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.” (Revelations 22 : 14). This reward and privilege to eat from the tree of life is given to those who ‘wash their robes’, that is, those who choose to remain undefiled by sin, worldly trends and it lusts. They will walk into the gate of the new Jerusalem, the paradise of God. Beloved, are you prepared for eternity? Whatever you do, never lose sight of eternity. As you live daily, invest in your eternal future. Be wise!
