Verse Of The Day : To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die… Ecclesiastics 3 : 1 , 2

LISTEN : Two days ago, precisely the 2nd of April 2018, I celebrated my birthday with best wishes, prayers, and felicitations from friends and well wishers through phone calls, text messages, chat, visits, etc. It was awesome and amazing for me, knowing that I just added a year to my life. However, I was deep in thoughts when I remembered that every birthday anniversary of my life brings me closer to the end of life. The time of my life is counting down each time I see another birthday anniversary or a new year as the case may be, no matter how young I am. Beloved, whether we pretend to not recognise this fact, but it is there. (Eccles 11 : 8). Every birthday anniversary should remind you of the need to prepare for eternity. You may ask, why? It is simple. You celebrate your birthday claiming you have added additional year to your life.

No doubt about that. But you have failed to realise that a year has equally been deducted from your life span. Therefore, wisdom demands that when you celebrate plus one, you should equally ‘mourn’ minus one. That will enable you never to lose sight of eternity. Our verse of the day says, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die” (Ecclesiastics 3 : 1 , 2). Beloved, do not be reckless with your time, instead, make the most of it. There is no time. Every day draws us closer to the end of life. A man once said, “Death is thinking about you even when you are not thinking about it. ” Having known that, what should we do? We should redeem the time and prepare for eternity when we still have the time. (Ephesians 5 : 16). Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Be wise and never forget that there is a time to be born and a time to die.
2. Open your eyes and determine to redeem the time for the days are evil.
3. Always examine your life and meditate on the word of God for a guide to the right path.
4. As you celebrate your birthday this time, reflect on the shortness of life and be wise.

Daily Prayer : Almighty God, I thank you for your good plans for my life. Help me to follow your will for the rest of my life, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Daily Task : Beloved, learn to redeem the time and prepare for eternity when you still have the time. Be wise!

Daily Reflection : Every birthday anniversary should remind you of the need to prepare for eternity as time is running out.

Daily Quote : ” To be careless with your time is to be careless with your life, because everyday draws us closer to the end of life.”

Today In History : April 4, 1968 Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. is assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.

Say This : Today, I confess that eternal life is possible with God for those who believe and walk in Christ Jesus. Therefore, I will walk in His way no matter what, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration : You will make a difference. Today I prophesy to you, it is well with you. May your life be pleasing to God now and forever, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Stunning Fact : Did you know your most active muscles are in your eyes?

(Only For Those who are Yet to Acknowledge Jesus Christ As Lord And Saviour)

Please Say This Prayer:

Everlasting Father, I thank you for this opportunity. I know I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive my sin and accept me as your own. Today, I acknowledge Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour. The evil I used to do, I will do them no more. Henceforth, I offer myself as instrument of righteousness to you. Thank you because I am born again, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Praise God! You Are Now Born Again
