Verse Of The Day : Remember the days of old, Consider the years of all generations. Ask your father, and he will inform you, Your elders, and they will tell you. Deuteronomy 32 : 7
LISTEN : We frustrate the future by neglecting or failing to invest in the present. In the same way, the present will lose its value when the bridge connecting the present and the past is broken. The past gave birth to the present, and the present gives birth to the future. Without yesterday there is no today, and without today there can never be a tomorrow. The past, present and future have a common tie; and when this relationship between them is destroyed, destinies will be frustrated and wasted. Today, most parents have failed to share important information about God with their children; and a good number of children are not ready to ask meaningful questions about God, as it relates to the past, present and future. Beloved, where is our hope for the future when we have forgotten the God who knows the future? What is the hope of future generations when our own generation has lost interest in God? (Psalms 9 : 17).
We should retrace our steps now! We should find out the right way to God. (Jeremiah 6 : 16). In his exhortation to the children of Israel to remember God’s Work, Moses told them to remember the days of old, consider the years of all generations; and ask their fathers and elders who would tell them about God’s miraculous deeds and what He wants them to do. (Deuteronomy 32 : 7). Sadly, many parents today have cutoff their children from knowing God, the Creator of heaven and earth. They have diverted their attention to things that have no eternal values. Unknown to them that they have failed their children, and ultimately God who created them. Dear parents, did you know you entered into a partnership with God the day you became a father or mother? And your part is to raise godly children for God? Are you doing that today? May we not watch our children take the wrong path! May we not destroy the bridge (God’s word) that should connect them to their God – ordained future. Be wise!
