Verse Of The Day : They reward my good with evil, opposing me because I seek to do good. Psalms 38 : 20
LISTEN : It is not strange to encounter oppositions for doing, or seeking to do good. We live in an upside-down world, where ‘wrong is right and right is wrong.’ A world where the wicked receives accolade for being wicked, and the righteous is humbled and persecuted for standing up for righteousness. A world where good is rewarded with evil, and evil rewarded with good. A world where the voice of righteousness is a lone voice, and the voice of wickedness is voice of the majority. A world where people lose their jobs and positions for seeking to live right. A world where good people lose popularity for standing for the truth. A world where the voice of truth is constantly opposed, and the voice of falsehood is embraced and applauded. A world where those who do good and stand for justice are hunted like animals. A world where corruption is taken as acceptable way of life, and virtue is seen as outdated lifestyle.
Beloved, are you suffering for seeking to live right? Are you hunted and persecuted for righteousness sake? Is your life wrecked for seeking to be fair to all? Be strong! If you suffer for living right glory to God. The Bible says, “But let none of you suffer as a murderer or thief or criminal or as a troublemaker. But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear such a name.” (1 Peter 4 : 15 – 16) Friend, I know your heart may be broken, just be strong! No doubt, it hurts to see oneself suffer for what one should be rewarded for; but just be strong! Beloved, there is pain in living right, because living right is living to please God; and those who live to please God will face oppositions. (2 Timothy 3 : 12). My dear, do not give up doing good, instead, put your concerns to God. The Bible says, “So then let those who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator as they do good.” (1Peter 4 : 19). Beloved, continue to live right no matter the pain, certainly at the end, your pain will be turned to your gain. Be wise!
