Verse Of The Day : You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32 : 7

LISTEN : “Trial is not a destination, but just a journey.” It is not designed to stop you, but to help you to your desired future; hence, no matter the trials that may confront you, you must not settle for stagnation; you should keep pressing on no matter what. Trials and challenges are part of the process that will take you to your God-ordained destination. (Isaiah 48 : 10 ; Acts 14 : 22). The process may be tedious and frustrating, but the bliss that awaits you at the end of the journey is worth the sufferings. No matter how long the journey may take, you will surely arrive at your God-given destination if you “play by God’s own rules.” Surely, you will sing songs of deliverance at the end of the journey, if you are not distracted by the momentary afflictions that you are bound to suffer. No doubt, trouble may come, but God’s grace is equally available for those who maintain a close walk with Him. (2 Corinthians 12 : 9).

In our verse of the day, David in the midst of troubles acknowledged God as his refuge and fortress. He said, “You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance.” (Psalms 32 : 7). In spite of his troubles, David believes that God would give him abundant reason for praise and thankfulness. Besides, he was sure that he would sing songs of praise to God for deliverance out of the hands of his enemies, and from trouble that came to swallow him up. He believes that God will preserve him from trouble, not from having it; but from being swallowed up with it. Beloved, is God your hiding place? Is He the one you run to in times of troubles? Like David, make God your hiding place. Surely, the Lord will bring you safe out of your troubles.
