Verse Of The Day : When Jesus heard this, he said, “This sickness will not lead to death, but to God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11 : 4

LISTEN : Lazarus of Bethany, Jesus Christ’ friend was critically ill, and a message was sent to Jesus Christ to come over to see, or possibly heal His friend. (John 11 : 1 – 3). Hear what He said, “This sickness will not lead to death, but to God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” (v. 4). However, He delayed His trip to Bethany until His friend was dead and buried. Few days after, He travelled to Bethany with His disciples to bring His friend back to life. Many people mocked and doubted Him, but when He arrived at the tomb, He called on God and Lazarus who was dead for four days came back to life. (vv. 41 – 44). The case of Lazarus is a demonstration of what God can do. God’s power is unmatchable, unstoppable and sovereign. His power is in His words, and no situation can resist His power.

Beloved, are you sick in your body? Are you afraid because the situation is getting worse by the day? Is your mind occupied by thoughts of dead, rather than thoughts of life? Calm down! God is urging you to calm down. The sickness will not lead to death, but to the glory of God, so that He may be glorified through it. Do not be afraid or give up. Sickness and death obey God, because God is above all. Friend, do not give room to fear. When situation threatens your life, encourage yourself in God and say “No” to defeat. Beloved, if you can conquer your fear through faith in God, no situation can keep you down. Stop complaining and tell your situation to God. Here are four important lessons to learn from today’s Bible verse : 1). If you can tell it to God He will give the solution. 2). God’s word prevails over situations. 3). Delay cannot change God’s purpose. 4). God is Glorified when you are healed. So cheer up my dear! You will live, and not die. Be wise!

Verse Of The Day: And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12 : 3

LISTEN : Beloved, are you faithfully serving God? Do you know a great reward awaits you at the coming of Jesus Christ? Do you know Jesus Christ will soon come, and only your faith in Him can earn you a reward when He comes? The Bible says, For in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay. But my righteous one will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” (Hebrews 10 : 37 , 38). Beloved, no matter what, do not slack in service to God. Fear God and honour Him. Remember, your fear of Him is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9 : 10). Besides, determine to tell the world about Jesus Christ and turn them to righteousness. Friend, if you glorify God among men, God will glorify you in eternity. Be wise!

1. Thank God for your day no matter what.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for help to live in wisdom and in fear of God, as you wait for the coming of Jesus Christ.
4. Pray for God to help you tell others about Jesus Christ and the gospel of the kingdom.
5. Ask God to keep you from evils and arrows that are designed against you.

PRAYER : Dear Lord, I thank you for your mercy towards me today. I am set to retire to bed, shield me from every evil and arrow directed to me, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God bless you. See you tomorrow.
