Verse Of The Day : In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.’” 2 Kings 20 : 1
LISTEN : Life is enveloped in uncertainty. No one is too certain about what will happen when something else has happened; yet, we tend to do things without considering what will happen when we are dead and gone. The issue of death scares people, as a result, when death is mentioned, people will do everything possible to change the topic. But how long will we continue to shy away from the truth? It is time to face the fact, that we are strangers in this world; and as strangers, we should be prepared for our necessary departure to be with God when He calls. (1Peter 2 : 11 ; Eccles 9 : 5). The Bible says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” (Hebrews 9: 27). Sadly, many have ignored this truth. They are doing nothing to set there houses (lives) in order. They live as people who have come to stay in the world. Beloved, God’s message (set your house in order) to King Hezekiah of Judah in our verse of day is the same for us today. God is saying, “Take care of your life before it is late.” “Make peace with God lest you become enemies in eternity.” “Decide your eternal future now you are still living.” Friend, make every single day an opportunity to set your life in order. Do not follow evil trends, fads, values and systems to your own detriment; instead, learn to live in fear of God and live each day as if it is your last day on earth. Be wise!

TOPIC: WISDOM BRINGS HONOUR
Bible Verse : A person is praised in accordance with his wisdom, but the one who has a twisted mind is despised. Proverbs 12 : 8
LISTEN : Wisdom (good sense or judgment : right application of knowledge) is key to life. Life without wisdom is empty of purpose and directions; and life without purpose lacks meaning. Wisdom brings honour, and lack of it brings disgrace. One’s level of wisdom will determine how far one can go in life. It will determine the kind of people that will be willing to associate with you. Wisdom brings success, and everyone wants to identify with success. No one wants to be part of failure. Yet, a lot of people are not doing enough to get wisdom. The Bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4 : 7). True wisdom comes from God, hence, to get it you must have God. Wisdom is wrapped in the word of God, therefore, to walk in God’s wisdom you must deep yourself in God’s word. The deeper you go into the words of God the wiser you become. (Psalms 119 : 100). Beloved, you cannot be irrelevant when you walk in wisdom. Pursue wisdom and honour will pursue you ; despise it and you will be despised. Be wise!
PRAYER POINTS :
1. Thank the Lord for today and the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for wisdom and understanding.
4. Ask for a good night sleep, and destroy Satan’s plans over your life.
Dear Lord, I thank you for your words today. Help me to live with wisdom all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
God bless you. See you tomorrow.
