Verse Of The Day : Abram said to Lot, “Please, let there be no strife between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are relatives. Genesis 13 : 8
LISTEN : Peace is priceless and wonderful. It brings people together, sustains fellowship, helps to let go of offenses, encourages unity, facilitates development and progress, and guarantees social and economic stability. Life is empty, scary and boring without peace. Where there is no peace, security and safety has been murdered. Absence of peace will amount to disaster. No people can sustain progress and development where peace has been jettisoned. This is why we all should stand for peace. We should give peace a chance when our actions if allowed could trigger conflict and crisis. We should endeavour to embrace peace and never encourage crisis or war by our actions. Beloved, no matter what, peace is possible. Our verse of the day is about Abraham and his nephew Lot.
Their relationship was threatened when his herdsmen strove with the herdsmen of Lot for grazing space. Ordinarily, this action should have made Abraham to fight his nephew (Lot) and part ways with him as enemies ; instead, he initiated peace. The Bible says, ‘Abram said to Lot, “Please, let there be no strife between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are relatives.” ‘ (Genesis 13 : 8). Beloved, can you be an “Abraham” to your family, friends, church, society, marriage, the world, etc? Can you initiate peace and make the opposing person (s) understand that peace is achievable? Friend, stand for peace. Let the world know you are a child of God. The Bible says, ” Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5 : 9). So, let us preach peace to the world, for Jesus Christ is the peace of God. Be wise!

TOPIC : CONSIDER YOUR WAYS
Monday, June 4, 2018
Bible Verse : Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Haggi 1 : 5
LISTEN: Beloved, do you take a regular check of your moral life? Are you living in line with the will of God? In our verse of the day, God urged the Israelites to consider their ways just the same way He is urging us today. The phrase, “consider your ways” simply means to think carefully about what you are doing: to give thought to your ways. Beloved, how often do you examine your ways and life in general? Do you really watch what you do? Do you know that your actions can make or mar you? Do you also know that when you refuse to give thought to your ways you will certainly regret your decisions in the long run? Beloved, do you really examine what you do with your life? Do you consider your actions before carrying them out? Do you know that not to consider the aftermath of your actions is to head for disaster? Truly, those who act, not minding the consequences of their actions are bound to suffer harm and misery. My dear, always remember that your action is like a seed, whatever you sow you will reap. (Galatians 6 : 7). Hence, if you do the right thing, you can expect God’s blessing and good success in your life. So, consider your actions and guard against doing evil. Use God’s word as your mirror and you will not be deceived. (Psalms 119 : 11). Be wise!
