Verse Of The Day : So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin. James 4:17

LISTEN : Useless knowledge? Can knowledge ever be useless? The answer is yes! Knowledge should produce wisdom, until then, knowledge is useless. What you know should be able to affect your life positively. What you know should guard your judgements and decisions. That is the essence of knowledge. In this context, the good you know should overcome the desire to do wrong. God has given everyone a conscience to know the good from the bad. We are to fight evil by the knowledge we gain from God’s word. Sadly, many people for lack of wisdom have made their knowledge of no effect. They know what is good to do, but refuse to do it. Beloved, we are guilty of sin when we ignore the voice of conscience and decide to act at variance with it. When we have the right knowledge but neglect to apply it, it is both an error and evil . The Bible says, ” So whoever knows what is good to do and does not do it is guilty of sin.” (James 4:17). My dear, we cannot deny knowing what is good or bad. Therefore, learning to live by the word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit is the key to living with a pure conscience. God has given us the ability to know what is wrong and right. So, if you fail to do what you know is right in the sight of God you are guilty of sin. Beloved, whatever is right to be done, whether in the church, family or the society, do it to the glory of God; knowing that you may not have such opportunity anymore. (Eccl. 9 : 10). Be wise!

2. Never ignore the voice of conscience, because God speaks often to your conscience.

Bible Verse : Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean… And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God… Genesis 35:2,3

LISTEN: Beloved, are you really watching your life? Are you watching the ways of your family? Are you dedicated to God? Is your family committed to serving God? Are they excited about God? Does your family have a warm relationship with Him? What altar did you make for yourself? What altar did you make for your family? An altar is “a place of sacrifice.” “It is a place of worship and prayer.” It is the place you can connect to God because you have devoted your life to Him. The altar I am talking about is not a place you can offer animal’s life, but a place you can offer yourself as “a living sacrifice” to God. (Romans 12:1,2). Jacob the son of Isaac invited his family to a life of holiness and devotion to God; and urged them to abstain from anything that will not give glory to God. Besides, he ordered his family to get up with him and move to Bethel (the house of God) to worship God. Beloved, as a parent, are you in charge of your family? When last did you go to church or fellowship together with your family like Jacob? My dear, it is vital to establish a formidable family devotion because it will help you to unite your family and sweeten home life. Besides, it will encourage your family to put Christianity into practice in your home, and aid your children in becoming better Christians and help them to develop ideals that will guide them in vital Christian living. Beloved, determine to bring your family closer to God today. Be wise!

1. Pray and bless God for His love and the gift of life.
2. Ask for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Pray God to give you grace to devote your life and family to Him.
4. Pray and cancel Satan’s plot against you and your family.
5. Ask God to grant you a good night sleep.

Today I prophesy to you, may grace to build a formidable family devotion be given to you. May your life be dedicated to God, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God bless you. See you tomorrow.
