Verse Of The Day : And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob Exodus 2:24

LISTEN: God is not ignorant about the groaning of the oppressed. He is not ignorant of the plight of His elect. His eyes are wide opened and sees all they go through ; and His ears listen to their groaning and cry for help. To groan is to complain about something, it is to make a deep sound because of pain. The Egyptians enslaved the Israelites for over four hundred years. Israel groaned and yearned for freedom, and God in His mercy heard their cry and rescued them by the hands of Moses, when He (God) remembered His covenant with Abraham. (Exodus 6:5). Beloved, those who oppress God’s people challenge God to a fight; and He who challenges God to a fight never lives to tell the story. God does not forget His words. He respects His covenant. He remembered the Israelites because of his covenant with Abraham. Similarly, those who believe in Christ are children of Abraham by faith, and shares in His covenant. The Bible says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:28,29). Wow, what a privilege to be part of the covenant! Beloved, God knows what you are going through. Very soon you will leap for joy. Just keep trusting Him and the camp of the enemy will be thrown into confusion. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Behold how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity… for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore Psalms 133:1,3

LISTEN: “United we stand, divided we fall” goes a popular saying. Unity brings progress and development. It brings the blessings of God to the people. When a family decides to embrace unity, they have equally positioned themselves for the blessings of God. But when family members are divided against themselves they cannot stand their enemies. (Mark 3:25). Besides, they will shut the door of progress and development (blessing) against themselves. Unity goes with peace, where you cannot find unity you cannot find peace ; and where you cannot find peace you cannot find unity. Beloved, God’s blessings go to where there is peace and unity. God blesses a peaceful and united home, because He knows His blessings will be useful and appreciated. Without peace and unity, blessings received cannot be sustained. Beloved, are you living in peace and unity in your home? Are you really getting on well with other members of your family? Unity is good and attracts God’s blessings. The Bible says, ““How good and pleasant it is for brethren (brothers and sisters) to live together in unity: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” (Psalms 133:1,3) Henceforth, pursue unity and God’s blessings will come your way. Be wise!

3. Ask God for spirit of unity and grace to get on well with others.
4. Pray for protection and peace of mind.
5. Pray God to rescue the afflicted and oppressed around the world; thank Him for answered prayer.

May your sleep be sweet tonight. May God give you the spirit of unity to get on well with others. May His blessings locate you, in Jesus’ name, amen.

God bless you. See you tomorrow.
