Verse Of The Day : Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies. John 11:25 NET
LISTEN : Once in a while we all struggle with thought provoking questions like, “Why did death ever exist” “Does it mean I am going to die someday?” “What happens to my family and all I have laboured for all my life when I am gone?” “Is life really fair to me?” “Can I still be remembered when I am dead and gone?” We struggle with these thoughts and wish death never exists. Truly, the thought of death is worrisome, especially when you have no relationship with God. Those who do not know God believe that death is the end of life; but the word of God teaches us that there is life after death. When Jesus Christ visited the family of Lazarus His late friend, He demonstrated the power of God by bringing Lazarus who was dead for four days back to life. (John11:39). By that act He proved to the world that there is life after death. That is why He says, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even if he dies.” (John 11:25). Beloved, death is not the end of life because Jesus died for us to live. (John 3:16). There is a better life after death. It is an endless life of bliss. That is God’s desire for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Friend, do not be unnecessarily bothered about this life, instead, live with eternity in view. Besides, do not be deceived by fear of death, rather, focus on God and His eternal purpose; for death cannot stop the purpose of God for the righteous, but will rather bring an end to evil, and introduce a new life of bliss in God’s eternal plan. So, pursue eternity with God and death will not be your end. Be wise!

TOPIC : DO YOU LOVE GOD?
Wednesday, August 22, 2018
Bible Verse : He said: “I love you, LORD, my source of strength! Psalms 18:1
LISTEN: Beloved, do you love God? Is your faith in God genuine? Can you sincerely declare your love for God? Can you be proud to declare to your family members, colleagues, friends, the society and the world your loyalty and love for God? (Joshua 24:15). David spake unto the LORD these words the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He declares his love for God and ascribes his victories to Him. David calls God “my strength.” He acknowledges that he is powerless and nothing without God. He knows that he overcomes his enemies not by his battle skills, sophisticated weapons, intelligence, or trusted allies, but through the power of God. Sadly, a lot of people often ascribe their victories and successes in life to humans or “deities.” They fail to acknowledge God as their source of strength. Their love is in something else. Beloved, do you love God? Is He the source of your strength? Like David, can you boldly declare your love for God? Henceforth, let us declare our love for God as the strength of our lives. Be wise!
1. Thank God for His provision and protection.
2. Ask God for forgiveness, and grace to follow His will.
3. Pray for grace to love God above all else.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to love God.
Today I prophesy to you, may you love and appreciate God always. May you not forget His benefits to you no matter what, in Jesus’ name, amen.
