Verse Of The Day: Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. No one regretted his death; he was buried in the City of David, but not in the royal tombs. 2 Chronicles 21:20

LISTEN : It is sad to be absent and not be missed by others; and really sad to be present and not be noticed. One may ask, “Is it possible to be present and not be noticed?” “Is it possible to be absent and not be missed?” The answer is yes! Surely, our presence will worth nothing to those we choose to harm instead of to bless; and we cannot be missed by those whose life we have tormented and made miserable. God created everyone as a solution to human problems; hence, anyone who chooses to do otherwise have disappointed both God and humanity. Our verse of the day speaks of Jehoram the son of King Jehoshaphat who committed heinous crimes in his reign as King of Judah (Israel). He refused to follow his father’s godly steps. The Bible says, “Jehoram took control of his father’s kingdom and became powerful. Then he killed all his brothers, as well as some of the officials of Israel.” (2 Chronicles 21:4). He was very wicked to both his relatives and his subjects. Hence, when he died no one regretted his death. Besides, he was denied a royal burial as a mark of his wickedness. Beloved, what is your relationship with others? Are you a blessing to them or a source of sorrow? Learn to bless others and God will bless you. Be wise!

Bible Verse : A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Proverbs 1:5

LISTEN : One of the characteristics of the wise is teachableness. The wise never stop learning. They continuously learn to increase in knowledge. They know that no one is too learned and wise to stop learning. Learning is a lifetime project. The more you learn, the more you know and become wiser and increase in knowledge. You will become refined and know how to think better and act better when you acquire knowledge, whether theoretical or practical knowledge. Sadly, a lot of people do not want to learn new things, because they believe they know everything; as a result, have nothing more to learn from others. (Proverbs 26:12). Friend, never stop learning; instead, labour painstakingly for more knowledge, especially knowledge about God. Keep searching for knowledge and open your ears and heart to it. You will become better when you acquire and apply true knowledge. As you search for knowledge, strive to know the word of God. The word of God is the source of true wisdom. God’s word brings about increase in knowledge. Learning the word of God (Scriptures) is the best learning. It is the most profitable and profound knowledge in the earth. Beloved, are you a wise person? Be a good listener and you will increase in learning. (James 1:19).

1. Thank the Lord for today and the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for knowledge, wisdom and grace to learn and increase in learning.
4. Ask for a good night sleep and protection.

It is well with you. May the Lord help you to hear and increase in knowledge and wisdom all the days of your life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
