Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:1-2
LISTEN : Who will you call “blessed?” A wealthy man? A very educated person? A happily married person? A successful business person? An influential person? A man seated in power and authority? A healthy man full of life? A man with a happy family, right? The list goes on and on. But that is not what the Bible refers to as “blessed.” The blessed person according to the Bible is a person after God’s heart. A person with the fear of God: one who loves God with all his heart. The wicked does not fit into this (blessed man) description because they do not love God, and God is not in their thoughts. When God declares a person as blessed, it is not because he or she is wealthy, educated, happily married, successful in business and ministry, influential and powerful, healthy, etc., but because he or she reveres Him and walk in obedience to Him. You may have all the good things of life and still, you are not blessed; because you do not know God, obey and revere Him as your God. But when you have Him (God) and what He gives, you are blessed. Beloved, God is happy when you refuse to do what the wicked people want you to do. He is revered when you determine not to imitate the behavior of the wicked. Truly, the wicked people hate God and want others to do same. But if we love God, we cannot join with the ungodly people to ridicule Him; instead, we will love, honour and obey Him and delight in doing His will all the days of our lives. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, if it is so that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12
LISTEN : The purpose of God for our Iives is to become more and more like Jesus Christ. God wants us to have the mind of Christ in the way we live. Besides, He wants us to be the light and salt of the world as proof of our new life in Christ. The world needs the light of the gospel to escape the power of sin and Satan. People need the sweetness of the gospel of Christ to erase the bitter experiences of sin. However, that can only be possible when we surrender ourselves to God and focus on why we are called to follow Christ. A lot of believers in Christ do not know why they are called. Until we are willing to reject our old nature, we cannot establish a relationship with Jesus Christ. Before his conversion to faith in Christ, Apostle Paul was a persecutor and an enemy of the christian faith. But when Christ arrested him to preach the gospel, he continued to strive to be more and more like Jesus and to pursue the very purpose for which he was arrested ; as a result, he served well and concluded with this comforting statement, ” I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (2Timothy 4:7). Beloved, are you pursuing the purpose of God for your life? Henceforth, discover God’s purpose for your life and follow it. Be wise!
1. Pray and bless God for His love and protection.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Pray God to make you more and more like Jesus Christ everyday.
4. Pray and destroy all satanic plans against you and other believers in Christ Jesus.
Today, I prophesy to you, may God strengthen you to pursue His purpose for your life. May you not miss your way as you walk with Him daily, in Jesus’ name, amen.
