Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts. Acts 11:23
LISTEN : Beloved, to what are you devoted to? Where lies your love and loyalty? Are you devoted to God? Do you know that God is committed to those who are committed to Him? Surely, God loves those who are devoted to Him. Those who serve Him with a devoted heart will unfailingly experience His loving-kindness. What does it mean to be devoted? It means, having strong love or loyalty for something or someone. Truly, what one is devoted to takes one’s time and heart. If you are devoted to God, nothing will make sense to you if it does not make sense to God. My dear, to walk with God you must be devoted to Him. You must surrender yourself to Him despite the pressure to do otherwise. Our faith and relationship with Christ is priceless and should be protected no matter what. Even in a situation that constantly pressures us to deny our faith, we should still keep an uncompromising devotion to God through it all. Beloved, are you genuinely devoted to God with your heart, and not just with your mouth? Do you regularly evaluate your Christian walk with Jesus? Without devotion to God we will end up deceiving ourselves like the Israelites of the days of Prophet Ezekiel did. The Bible says thus: “My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you and listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain.” (Ezekiel 33:31). Beloved, determine to express genuine devotion to God and He will connect you to His “ocean of blessings.” Be wise!
Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Be devoted to God with your heart and not just with your mouth.
2. Regularly evaluate your relationship with God to know whether you are still in tune with Him or not.
3. Do not surrender to the pressure to deny your faith, instead be strong no matter what.
4. Do not be hypocritical with your faith in Christ, instead, be real and show the world that you belong to Christ.

TOPIC : ARE YOU READY FOR THE COMING OF CHRIST?
Friday, September 7, 2018
Bible Verse : Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of man comes. Mathew 25:13
LISTEN: The second coming of Jesus Christ to the world will shock the people of the earth. His coming will be a mixture of joy and sorrow. Joy to God’s children, and sorrow to the unfaithful and wicked (Daniel 12:1,2). His second coming will break the hearts of many, but put smiles in the faces of those who faithfully served God. Beloved, Jesus Christ will certainly return to judge the wicked world (Acts 17:30,31). He will judge the world in righteousness. Those who receive Him will not be condemned, but those who reject Him are condemned already. Beloved, are you prepared for His return? Do you know that He will come to the world unannounced? Our verse of the day says, “Therefore watch, for you do not know either the day or the hour in which the Son of man comes.” (Mathew 25:13). Beloved, our duty is to watch and wait for His return. We should guard against temptation by watching our actions, activities, conducts, evil trends, etc. We should be careful not to follow the world’s way of corruption and sin. We should guard against anything that will keep us from eternal life. My dear, be watchful; because he who misses eternal life will be doomed forever. Be wise!
1. Bless God for today no matter the circumstance.
2. Ask God for forgiveness, and grace to follow His will.
3. Pray for grace to prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.
4. Intercede for believers in Christ around the world for grace to love God.
5. Pray against spiritual wickedness, and ask God to keep you safe.
Today I prophesy to you, may you not miss your way. May the Lord show you the path of life and order your steps in the right direction, in Jesus’ name, amen.
