Verse Of The Day : We pray earnestly night and day to see you in person and make up what may be lacking in your faith. 1 Thessalonians 3:10

LISTEN : To grow and excel, you need someone who is ahead of you. Someone who is more experienced than you are. (1 Corinthians 11:1; 2 Timothy 2 :2). In life, someone’s expectation is already another person’s experience. That is, what you are still praying for is already someone else’s testimony. Most times people struggle for something because they refuse to ask questions. (Matthew 7:7,8). Life is full of questions; hence, failure to ask relevant questions will leave you stranded, confused and immature in life. As it is in the physical, so it is in spiritual life. A lot of believers in Christ Jesus struggle with spiritual maturity because they are not committed to fellowshipping with spiritually matured believers. Instead, they are comfortable hanging around spiritually immature people who decided not to grow. Of course you know that, parents do not depend on their own babies to become mature adults, rather babies depend on their own parents (adults) to grow and mature. This means that the lesser is blessed by the greater. In the same way, immature believers ought to walk closely with mature believers to grow their faith. Beloved, do you desire to grow in your Christian life? Do you want to be a spiritual giant in the faith? Then, walk with spiritually matured believers. You will learn how to hunger for God’s word, grow in faith and the fear of God ; love others, especially fellow believers in the faith, forgive your offenders, walk in holiness, patience, self-control, peace, kindness, etc. My dear, do not be comfortable with spiritual mediocrity, instead, strive to grow spiritually. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not be intimidated by the spiritual maturity of other believers, instead, follow and learn from them.
2. Always ask relevant questions about spiritual maturity, and apply those answers that will aid your growth.
3. Be careful with your choice of friends, and follow only what will assist you to achieve your God-given purpose.
4. Strive to grow spiritually, and never stop until you achieve God’s plan for your life.

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you gave us your son Jesus Christ and your people, the church of Christ. Therefore, help me to love the church, and to walk closely with spiritually matured believers to gain spiritual maturity for myself, amen.

Reflection : To grow and excel, you need someone who is ahead of you. Someone who is more experienced than you are. Find them and you would have found success.

Quote: “Life is full of questions; hence, failure to ask such relevant questions about life will leave you stranded, confused, empty, unfulfilled, immature and unguarded.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that I am created to fulfill God’s purpose for my life. Therefore, I will not be a spiritual mediocre, instead, I will walk with spiritually mature believers to grow my faith in Christ Jesus, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know that because of sin, in one occasion God delivered the Israelites into the hands of the Philistines for 40 years? (Judges 13:1).

Bible Verse : And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them. Judges 8:4

LISTEN : Beloved, there is no guarantee that you will not faint when pursuing a God-given purpose. No matter how strong and energetic you are, you will faint or feel frustrated and helpless at some point, as you travel the road to your God-given purposes. As life gets tougher, people tend to faint and get discouraged. One of the reasons why many people fail in their quest for success is because they surrender to “exhaustion.” They got tired and felt they cannot go on anymore. Beloved, you should learn to be strong, courageous and determined when pursuing your God-given purposes (Joshua 1:6,7,9). You should get moving even when you lack the strength to proceed further. Learn to “think outside the box” and realise that you cannot make it all alone. You need help. You need God. When your strength is gone and you cannot proceed any further, you need God. When your hope is disappointed, you need God. When fear and enemies threaten your life, you need God. With God, your strength, hope and courage will return. In our Bible verse, Gideon and his three hundred men prevailed over the one hundred and thirty five thousand Midianites, because they first overcame the temptation to surrender to “tiredness” (Pro 24:10). The Bible recorded thus: “they were tired, yet pursuing them” (Judges 8:4). Beloved, do you have such courage and determination? Please do not give up on your dreams and vision. Keep pushing, certainly you will break through. Be wise!

1. Bless God for blessing your day, and sustaining your life.
2. Ask the Lord for forgiveness and grace to fellowship with Him.
3. Pray for grace to move forward despite hindrances and troubles.
4. Cancel all satanic manipulations and plans against you, and thank God for answering your prayer.

May the Lord bless you. Today, I prophesy to you. May God give you grace to fight your battles and overcome, in Jesus’ name, amen.
