Verse Of The Day : Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which he promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
LISTEN : Life is ridden with temptation and ugly experiences. People often groan, murmur and complain about temptation. Many people pray never to experience temptations. Our prayer should not be not to experience temptation, but not to be overcome by it. What exactly is temptation? In the Bible, the word temptation primarily denotes a trial in which man has a free choice of being faithful or unfaithful to God; only secondarily does it signify enticement or seduction to sin. Beloved, when temptation comes, it leaves you with two options : to be faithful to God, or be unfaithful to Him. Because temptation often comes with pressure, suffering and pain, it is easier to fall than to stand; and easier to disobey God and follow our own will, than to obey Him. Friend, a time of temptation is not a time to fail or fall. It is not a to sin or quit your faith in Christ Jesus; but a time to demonstrate your unalloyed loyalty to God. Those who endure and overcome temptations are blessed. Our Bible verse says, “Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which he promised to those who love Him.” (James 1:12). Beloved, temptation is an opportunity for your promotion ; but that will depend on what you do when you are tempted. You will be promoted if you endure and overcome temptations; but abased if temptation overcomes you. Above all, God will crown those who endure temptation with eternal life at the coming of Christ. The Bible says, “But the person who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13). Be wise!

TOPIC : OBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD

Bible Verse : But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22
LISTEN: Are you a faithful hearer of God’s word? A faithful hearer is a doer of the word. Going to church is not a guarantee that you are a genuine child of God. True children of God are known for their willingness to obey and serve God with their whole hearts. (Matthew 7:21). They are not mere hearers but doers of the word of God. They are not just churchgoers but Kingdom citizens. They are not forgetful hearers but hearers with a difference. My dear, do you know that churchgoing will only make people church members, but faithfulness to God will make them Kingdom citizens? Therefore, as children of God, our lives should influence those living in darkness not the other way round. We should attract the unbelieving world to our faith in Christ by the way we live. When we go to church but refused to be transformed by the word of God, we deceive ourselves. Truly, self-deception is the worst form of deception. So, having received forgiveness for our sins through the death of Jesus Christ, we should make an effort to grow our faith and sustain our salvation. The Bible says, “So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12). Beloved, as you hear, read, study or meditate on the word of God, determine to live in obedience to God. Be wise!
1. Thank God for a wonderful day.
2. Ask Him for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Ask God for grace to obey and honour His word.
4. Cancel every satanic plans against your life and thank God for prayer answered.
May the Lord bless you. May the Lord grant you the grace to obey and honour His word, in Jesus’ name, amen.
