Verse Of The Day : Because of my condition, even my friends and acquaintances keep their distance; my neighbors stand far away. Psalms 38:11
LISTEN : Loneliness hurts. It denies one the warmth fellowship of friends, acquaintances and relatives. What does it mean to be lonely? It means to be without company : to be cut off from others : to be sad from being alone. Loneliness produces sad feelings that come from being apart from other people. It makes you feel like you have been abandoned to perish by yourself. My dear, for a moment, imagine yourself sick and in pain and no one visits to know how you are recuperating, or to assist you with a need, how will you feel? Or you have been overtaken by a tragedy, but rather than console you, everyone believes you are responsible for your misfortune, how will you feel? Sad and lonely, right? People go through loneliness in many ways and form. Loneliness could be felt in school where no one wants you close to them; in a society where one is ostracised for one reason or the other; in a marriage relationship where a spouse is mistreated and despised; when one is wrongly accused of evil and no one cares to verify the truth. The list goes on and on. This was the condition of David when he penned this Psalms. He said, “Because of my condition, even my friends and acquaintances keep their distance ; my neighbors stand far away.” (Psalms 38:11). Beloved, is your case like David’s? Not to worry! The Bible says, “Even if my father and mother abandoned me, the LORD would take me in.” (Psalms 27:10). Do not allow the pain of loneliness to rob you of the opportunity to fellowship with the Holy Spirit. My dear, when circumstances of life keep you lonely, seek the company of the Holy Spirit. Do not write off yourself no matter what. Remember, God cares about you when no one does. Be wise!

TOPIC: TRUST IN THE LIVING GOD
Bible Verse : Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalms 20:7
LISTEN : God is a solid rock. His name is powerful and troubles the kingdom of darkness. He is our foundation, strength and stability. Friend, your foundation will determine your stability; and who you follow will determine what follows you. Your victory in battles of life is a function of your source of strength. When your source of strength is weak, your chances of victory is slim. In the same way, when your source of strength is strong and reliable, victory is guaranteed. God is a strong tower (Psalms 18:10). He is a shield and refuge. He is a present help in times of troubles (Psalms 115:11). Those who love and fear Him run to Him in distress and are saved. He delivers His people from those who seek to destroy them. Beloved, is God your source of strength? Is He your help in times of troubles? Who do you rely on for deliverance and victory in times of troubles? In our Bible verse David said, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalms 20:7). My dear, the name of God saves. Therefore, do not put your trust in anything other than God, for they will fail you ; instead, put your trust in the living God. Be wise!
1. Thank the Lord for today and the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for grace to trust God in every circumstance.
4. Ask God for a good night sleep, and pray against every evil plot against you.
A WORD OF BLESSING
May God grant your heart desires, and may you not be disappointed. As you sleep tonight, may nightmares be far from you, in Jesus’ name, amen.
