Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

LISTEN : Prayer is not complete without thanksgiving. Thanksgiving demonstrates our assurance that God is able to do what we ask of Him. Thanksgiving in time of difficulty is an act of faith. Learning to both pray and give thanks to God is important for answer to our prayers. Whatever situation we find ourselves, we should learn to pray and give thanks to God (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Beloved, is your life in crisis? Pray and give thanks to God. Are you sick and weak, and has done all you could do, but nothing seems to change? Pray. Is your life fallen apart? Pray and thanks (James 5:13,15). Prayer gives peace to a troubled heart. It leaves worries in the hands of a loving and caring God. He who prays in faith cannot return empty-handed. Beloved, when you pray with thanksgiving, God will send His peace to your heart and mind. (Philippians 4:6,7). In prayer, problems are surrendered to God in anticipation of a positive outcome. When you pray knowing that God has heard you, you cannot leave in fear of your circumstances. To experience the joy and benefits of prayer you should pray with thanksgiving. You should thank God in advance believing that He has heard you; and celebrate His promises and accept them as belonging to you. My dear, without faith it is difficult to pray in times of troubles, and more difficult to pray with thanksgiving. So, keep praying and pray with thanksgiving henceforth. And never wait to see results before you thank God, instead, thank Him to see results. Be wise!

EVENING

TOPIC : FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD

Monday, December 24, 2018

Bible Verse : And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35

LISTEN : Do you have time to fellowship with the Spirit of God? Do you spend time with God? A God fearing person will always hunger and thirst after God. God is always at the center of everything he or she does. My dear, time with God is precious to Him and cannot be lost or wasted. God rewards our value for Him. Therefore, spending time with God should be the yearning of everyone of us. Sadly, many spend their lives daily without having quality time with God. They do not have time to commune with Him in prayer, personal bible study, meditation, etc. They have no regard to the will of God. They have little or no time for Him. They seem to have forgotten that we are humans? And that we are created by God to serve His purposes? Beloved, do you know that failing to spend time with God will amount to failing to fulfill your God-given purpose? No matter how busy you are, always have time for God. Jesus Christ, while He walked the earth, worked round the clock (Acts 10:38), yet, had quality time with God (His Father) in prayer. (Mark 1:35). Beloved, never neglect to have time with God no matter what. Time with God will shape your future, correct your behaviour, direct your steps, give you access to God, give your life a meaning and save your soul from eternal destruction. Be wise!

PRAYER POINTS
1. Thank God for your day and his blessings in your life.
2. Ask Him for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Ask God to enable you spend quality time with Him no matter what.
4. Pray and cancel every evil judgment passed on you by wicked people.
5. Thank God for answering your prayer.

A WORD OF BLESSING
Today, I prophesy to you, may God enable you to spend quality time with Him henceforth, in Jesus’ name, amen.
