Verse Of The Day : He followed God during the lifetime of Zechariah, who taught him how to honor God. As long as he followed the LORD, God caused him to succeed. 2 Chronicles 26:5 NET
LISTEN : Praise God! The year 2019 is here. Just like every other year, we have 365 days before us again. You can choose to maximise it or waste it. But remember that each day you waste, you just wasted an opportunity to be better off in your life. What you do each day will determine how the entire year will end for you. And how you end up each year will equally determine how your entire life will end, both on earth and eternity. Beloved, what are your resolutions for the year? Does it includes serving God and living for Him. Have you made the decision to follow God through His Son Jesus Christ. Are you prepared to honour and fear God for the rest of your life? Friend, honour and the fear of God will put you on the good side of life. God prospers those who serve and honour Him. (see Deuteronomy 30:19,20). You cannot achieve true success or prosperity if you undermined God. Our Bible verse today talks about Uzziah who was made king in place of his father Amaziah. He was sixteen years old when he became king, and did what was right in the sight of God. He sought God in the days of Zechariah who taught him the ways of God. The Bible says, “He followed God during the lifetime of Zechariah, who taught him how to honor God. As long as he followed the LORD, God caused him to succeed.” (2 Chronicles 26:5 NET). Beloved, mind who you follow this year. Who you follow will determine what happens to you. Follow people who live their lives like” Zechariah.” People who will lead you to God and not lead you away from Him. Remember, when you follow and honour God He will prosper you; but when you reject Him He will reject you and frustrate your life. Be wise!

TOPIC : SERVE WELL
Bible Verse : And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23,24
LISTEN : When you serve God or humanity, do not serve with pretense, rather serve with the whole of your heart. Genuine service to God will earn you His approval; for God cannot do anything serious with an unfaithful person. (Numbers 12:7). My dear, when you serve, serve well. However, you cannot serve well without faithfulness. Faithfulness is vital to our relationship with God. Hence, to be bankrupt of faithfulness is to lose fellowship with God. What does it mean to be faithful? It means having or showing true and constant loyalty: deserving trust and keeping your promises or doing what you are supposed to do. Beloved, this is exactly what God expects of His children. He wants us to be faithful. That is, He wants us to be loyal, trustworthy and reliable in our service to Him and humanity. (1 corinthians 4:2). In our verse of the day the Bible says, ” And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23,24). This means that we should serve with the aim to glorify God. Whatever service we render to anyone, God should be our focus and reward (Matt 25:21-23). When we serve with the ultimate aim of glorifying God, we will become more and more faithful in our service and devotion to Him. We will not mind who benefits from our services, but rejoice because God is glorified. So, let us serve well to the glory of God. Be wise!
1. Give praise to God for leading you mercifully to the new year in peace.
2. Ask for His forgiveness and promise to walk in obedience to Him this year.
3. Prophesy His blessings and favours to your life, family and the church of God.
4. Bind and cast out demonic spirits and strange forces against your life.
A WORD OF BLESSING
Today, I speak into your life, it is well with you. May the year brings to you uncommon blessings as you serve God and humanity, in Jesus’ name, amen.
